SERENGETI!

What an honor it was to be given the opportunity to design the cards for the Club Scrap November Stamp kit Stamp Rap card gallery!!! Serengeti is a wonderful kit! The colors are rich and vibrant (2 shades of teal, a rich brown and yellow), and the designs are bold and striking. Below are some of the cards that I came up with as I experimented with this fabulous collection!

The beads in this kit were fun to work with!

On these cards I had fun coming up with ways to use the brown waxed string included in the fiber pack.

This turned out to be one of my favorite cards. I stamped the UM arrow stamp a bunch of times, cut them out, and then wove the strips to create this card.

Here I used the arrow stamp again to make a "frame".

I love this UM elephant stamp with the belated birthday greeting!

The UM zebra stamp is one of my favorites, and here are 3 cards I came up with using it. The flower card is probably the most unique! My favorite card of all is the Anniversary card. I stamped the zebra on a piece of transparency on each side so it looks like the zebras are "nuzzling" or kissing.

Hope you enjoyed looking at these as much as I enjoyed creating them!

Nathalia's "Quick Cards"

An online scrapping friend, Nathalia Castelon, came up with a great formula for taking 5 sheets of 12X12 paper and turning them into 9 beautiful cards! This formula was featured in the Club Scrap Academy Scrap Rap, and on Nathalia's blog. Here's the link to the blog:

Quick Cards

I've been wanting to try this for several weeks now and yesterday I finally got around to it. I used card stock from Club Scrap's August 2004 kit, Fossils. The card stock in this kit is some of my favorite! It's heavy and has a lovely texture, and the colors are deep and rich! To make these cards I also used stamps from Inque Boutique, Close To My Heart, Fancy Pants, and the texture stamp from Club Scrap's Friendship kit. I love the way they turned out; simple yet very rich and elegant. Thanks Nathalia for sharing your "Quick Card" formula!

A few fun cards!

I love the fun, cheery colors and designs of the Club Scrap Stratosphere kit. On these cards I combined papers from the Stratosphere kit and die cuts and paper from the Club Scrap Centennial kit. Ready for a bit of "bright" in dreary November? Here ya go!
