Buttons and Bows

Hello!  I'm finishing my guest designer spot at Simply Scrapping Crafts with the May 11th card challenge, which is to use "buttons and bows" on a card.  As you'll see, I took the challenge quite literally ;)




I bought these beautiful, striped twill May Arts ribbons at the Stamp Simply Ribbon Store.   I love the colors of citrus, especially when lemon, lime, and orange are combined.  For my card I stamped some polka dots on Kraft card stock using Fresh Snow ink (PTI), and then placed the bows on them.  Each bow is topped with a coordinating PTI button and some twine.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

  1. I love the ribbon bows on this card Diane. They kind of remind me of Chevron stripes. don't you think? This is a beautiful card and you did such a good job with your guest designer role.

  7. So cute, Diane! I like how the bows are all lined up in a row and I love the polka dots. How did you get the bows to tie so well? I always have the hardest time getting my bows to tie correctly! Great card!!
